Oostende, Dorpstraat/Duinenstraat.

At the south/west side of Oostende close to Raversijde, some remains of a Flak 88mm emplacement
lie in a small dune strip. Park your car close to the nice church and walk from the Duinenstraat left into a small cycle/pedestal path and after 75 meter you will see the very small remains.

Oostende, Sas Slijkens.

In the suburb of Sas Slijkens, a very nice bunker type 505 lies along the N9 on a new business park. For some years it was lying freely in some meadow and was partly covered with earth. Now a days it lies between the new buildings and is nicely integrated into the new situation, but with a fence around it and some water.

Oostende, harbour.
AOK 15, KVA A3, Stp.Gr. Oostende, M.K.B. Hundius, Stp. Hundius.

Close to the north side harbour entrance and north of the Stp. Hafen, lies the M.K.B. Hundius, close to the former France Napoleontic Fortress.
When you start at the former Fort at the Vuurtorenweg, walk around the battery that is closed for public with a big fence. So the terrain is normally not open to public, but there are ways to get inside. Please be carful in and around the bunkers and objects!
As far as we could see this site wasn't re-used after the war, so most of the bunkers are in more or less original state……after 70 years!

This Stützpunkt lies at the north side of the harbour of Oostende and was one of the main defence point for protecting the harbour and it locks. The bunkers belonging to this site are spread over some different places around the harbour.
(splitting the Stützpunkt into 3 parts, is our choice to make it more practical.)
-    Part 1: more inland long the harbour quays there are lying two Sk-trafo bunkers. One at the Slijkensesteenweg and
     partly built into a former storage facility. The other Sk-bunker lies at Bredensesteenweg near the petrol station.
-    Part 2: this section lies close to the north side harbour entrance at the corner with the lock at the Buskruitstraat.
-    Part 3: this is the biggest section of the Stützpunkt and lies close to part 2 in the dunes at the northern pier head, at the
     Luisbosstraat.

The Sk-trafo bunker has been re-used after the war and is probably still in use by the power company. In part 2 the Vf51a is re-used as a storage by the personnel serving the lock. The 633 mortar bunker has been a kind of museum, but was during our visit open and abandoned.
Part 3 is re-used intensively by the Belgium Marine and or harbour officials. In many bunkers you will find still equipment standing, that was placed after the war. In one room of the 610 several "plot board" are standing showing the harbour and other section of Oostende. There are even several buildings added or changed with annexes or, like the 6120 with a big observation post built on top.
